This week was Vacation Bible School at our Church. Matthew and Jax went everyday for three hours (quite a difference from two hours two days a week for preschool.....they were tired!) They both really enjoyed the theme of Son Rock Kids Camp and the outdoor and campfire activities that went with it. Each day they had a "truth" about Jesus and a Bible verse that went with their activity. Matthew's class focused on Peter, so they had a lot of fisherman themed days. They also collected "campfire food" to help stock the local foodbank. It was a great service project!
And now, a few words from Matthew himself....
My teacher was Jessica. She helped us make art ( a fishing pole, bottle with fish and boats, and a stepping stone).

On the last day, we sang "Son Rock Kids Camp" and "Peter Was A Fisherman". (They learned hand motions to cast the fishing line and then pull in the nets.)

More of the song.... Matthew is first boy on right and Jax is first boy on the left.

After the program, there was a picnic for everyone. They boys had a great time and when they finished eating, it was off to the "jumping barn"
